Paige Bueckers, A'ja Wilson, Azzi Fudd's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Wings Beat Aces
Dallas Wings center Jessica Shepard dropped an historic 22-point, 20-rebound, 10-assist triple-double while teammates Paige Bueckers (20 points, six assists) and Azzi Fudd (22 points) helped guide their team to a 95-87 home win over the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces.
Four-time WNBA MVP and Aces center A'ja Wilson led Las Vegas with 21 points.
This game marked Fudd's first-ever start. The Wings rookie (and No. 1 overall WNBA draft pick) had just enjoyed a breakout game in her sixth-ever pro contest, dropping 24 points (6-of-12 three-point shooting) alongside three steals, three assists and two steals in the Wings' 91-76 road win over the New York Liberty last Sunday.
It doesn't appear Fudd is leaving the starting lineup any time soon. The ex-UConn star made 9-of-15 shots, including 3-of-5 threes. Dallas outscored Las Vegas by 15 with Fudd on the court.
Shepard, meanwhile, continued her sensational season. She played for the Minnesota Lynx from 2019-2025 after entering the pros as a second-round pick. While she put up some numbers in Minnesota (6.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG), Shepard is now averaging a double-double (13.0 PPG, 11.3 RPG) in Dallas while posting 7.4 APG.
Meanwhile, Bueckers has taken another step in year two, which is impressive considering she made the All-Star team and earned All-WNBA Second Team in year one. She's shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 45.7 percent from three while scoring 19.4 PPG and dishing 5.2 APG.
This was a tough defeat for the Aces, who have lost two straight after dropping a 101-95 matchup to Kelsey Plum (38 points, nine assists) and the Los Angeles Sparks. Still, the Aces should have a strong season thanks in part to Wilson, who is still excelling with 24.3 PPG and 7.1 RPG.
The Wings have now improved their record to five wins and three losses. They're well on their way to a tremendous improvement from last year's 10-34 mark. The Aces have fallen to 4-3.
