The Hurricanes' offense came out hot early in Wednesday night's game, and their defense stepped up the rest of the way.

Sebastian Aho got things started for Carolina, scoring 15 minutes into the first period.

A minute later, Jordan Staal gave the Hurricanes a 2-0 lead after an assist from K'Andre Miller.

The Habs nearly got their first goal of the night as Lane Hutson got a good look, but the Canes took it the other way to score their third goal in the span of three minutes.

The Canes added an insurance goal from Andrei Svechnikov late in the third period to seal the win.

The momentum is with Carolina after winning three straight games, and failing to score in Game 4 only makes things worse for Edmonton. The Canadiens have plenty of adjustments to make to avoid their season ending.
