Cowboys' Parris Campbell Retires from NFL at Age 28, Won Super Bowl LIX with Eagles
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Parris Campbell has retired from the NFL, and the team has officially moved him to the reserve/retired list.
The 28-year-old Campbell played seven NFL seasons after the Indianapolis Colts selected him with a second round pick in the NFL draft out of Ohio State.
He played four years with the Colts before making the rounds in three-quarters of the NFC East with the New York Giants (2023), Philadelphia Eagles (2024) and Cowboys (2025). Campbell won Super Bowl LIX with the 2024 Eagles.
Campbell was a star at Akron, Ohio's St. Vincent–St. Mary High School, the alma mater of LeBron James. He led his team to back-to-back state championships and rushed for 1,584 yards and 22 touchdowns in his senior year en route to a 15-0 season.
He made First-Team All-Big Ten at Ohio State in 2018, catching 90 passes for 1,063 yards and 12 touchdowns. That OSU team went 13-1, won the Rose Bowl and finished third in the final Associated Press poll.
Unfortunately, Campbell dealt with a host of injuries during his NFL career, including a broken foot in 2019 and PCL and MCL injuries in 2020.
He played just 16 games over his first three seasons but thankfully got the chance to play a full 2022 campaign, catching 63 passes for 623 yards and three touchdowns for the Colts.
Campbell signed with the Giants in 2023 and finished with 20 catches for 104 yards. He played just five games in 2024 with the Eagles and one more with Dallas in 2025.
Now Campbell has retired after seven seasons following an incredible high school and collegiate career plus a Super Bowl ring on the next level.
