2009 College Footbal: Drunken Gator's Top SEC QB's After Week Two
The SEC conference has a rich history of producing great quarterbacks.
After each week's games I will give a list of the best quarterbacks playing for the SEC this year. The standings will change often because these rankings are all about what the players do on the field.
The SEC went 2-1 in non-conference play this week with six teams playing in conference.
The following is a breakdown of the Top QBs in the SEC after week two:
1.Tim Tebow (Florida) 548 points
2.Greg McElroy (Alabama) 454 points
3.Stephen Garcia (South Carolina) 453 points
4.Chris Todd (Auburn) 448 points
5.Jordan Jefferson (LSU) 355 points
6.Ryan Mallet (Arkansas) 316 points
7.Joe Cox (Georgia) 288 points
8.Chris Relf (Mississippi State) 287 points
9.Larry Smith (Vanderbilt) 265 points
10. John Brantley (Florida) 262 points
Jonathan Crompton (Tennessee) 262 points
Remember this list is compiled using a ranking system I have constructed that awards points based on passing and rushing yards plus touchdowns. The system will also take away points for interceptions, sacks, and incomplete passes.
So that's all for week two rankings. Congrats go out to Tim Tebow, the SEC leader.
Please visit my blog for all of next week's picks. So far I am 112-28 through week 2.
Well, until next week remember peace, love, and the SEC!
