He finished 0-for-3 with a stolen base in the defeat.
Crow-Armstrong eventually issued an apology for the interaction on Monday.
"I regret my choice of words the most and who that affects in my life," Crow-Armstrong said, per Rogers. "Directly or indirectly, I don't think that any of the women in my life would think I would say those kinds of words regularly. I'm just bummed out about the word choice and a bunch of little kids going to social media and seeing that as well."
"I saw the cameras in my face, it's not like I didn't," he added. "I'm definitely aware of the fact that it has blown up. ... I am intense on the field. In a moment like that, I think I let it get away from me a little bit."
Crow-Armstrong is in the midst of his fourth season on the Cubs, earning the first All-Star nod and Gold Glove honor of his career last year. He ended up signing a six-year extension worth $115 million with Chicago in March.
In 2026, Crow-Armstrong is hitting .229 with five home runs and five doubles to go along with 20 RBI. His 12 stolen bases after the fourth-most in the National League.
