2026 New York Giants Game-by-Game Predictions after NFL Schedule Release

Gary DavenportMay 14, 2026

It's a time of considerable hope and optimism in the Big Apple, and you don't hear that every day. The New York Giants won just four games a year ago and have lost at least 11 games in each of the past three campaigns. Big Blue has just one postseason appearance over the past decade.

But as the team heads into the summer. There's legitimate buzz surrounding the Giants. The team has a proven winner at head coach in John Harbaugh. An impressive nucleus of skill-position talent in quarterback Jaxson Dart, running back Cam Skattebo and wide receiver Malik Nabers. A top-10 offensive line per Pro Football Focus that added the 2026 draft's top guard in Francis Mauigoa. A defense loaded on the edge and up the middle that brought in an impressive rookie in linebacker Arvell Reese.

The 2026 New York Giants have the potential to do some damage. Make some noise. Perhaps even lurk around the fringes of playoff contention.

We have known for some time who the Giants will play this season. They just didn't know when. But now that the NFL schedule has officially been released, we know New York's slate for the campaign to come.

And you know what that means—it's time to predict the outcome of every game on the schedule and forecast the Giants' record in 2026.

New York Giants Schedule and Score Predictions

Week 1: (Sep. 13) Win – Giants 28, Cowboys 27

The 2026 season begins for the Giants just as the 2025 campaign ended—with a matchup against their most hated rivals in the Dallas Cowboys. The health of New York's "Big 3" on offense is critical here, and the Cowboys admittedly made defensive improvements in the offseason. But Dallas was the only team in the league that allowed over 30 points a game in 2025, and under the Sunday night lights at MetLife Stadium Jaxson Dart will lead a last-minute game-winning drive.

Week 2: (Sep. 21) Loss – At Los Angeles Rams 34, Giants 16

Week 3: (Sep. 27) Win – Giants 23, Titans 14

Week 4: (Oct. 4) Win – Giants 26, Cardinals 13

Week 5: (Oct. 11) Win – Giants 24, at Commanders 20

Week 6: (Oct. 18) Win – Giants 21, Saints 17

Week 7: (Oct. 25) Loss – at Texans 20, Giants 13

That's right, there's a genuine possibility that the Giants head to Houston a in Week 7 a 5-1 team, thanks largely to a four-game stretch against tomato cans that includes three tilts at Met Life Stadium. In Abdul Carter and Brian Burns the Giants have the talent on the edge to get after C.J. Stroud, making this a game the G-Men could potentially steal. But moving the ball on Houston's top-ranked defense isn't going to be easy, and only two teams had more takeaways in 2025 than the Texans. The winning streak ends here.

Week 8: Bye Week

Week 9: (Nov. 8) Loss – at Eagles 30, Giants 20

Week 10: (Nov 12) Win – Giants 27, Commanders 24

Week 11: (Nov. 22) Win – Giants 31, Jaguars 30

The Giants can theoretically finish with a winning record without beating a playoff team from a year ago (Thank you,.498 opponent winning percentage), but if the Giants want to be taken seriously, the team needs a "signature" victory. An upset. The Jaguars had the league's toughest run defense in 2025 on the way to a 13-4 record, so this will have to be a Dart game. That's exactly what will happen, with the second-year quarterback throwing for 300-plus yards and three scores while rushing for another in a wild, back-and-forth affair.

Week 12: (Nov. 29) Win – Giants 26, at Colts 17

Week 13: (Dec. 6) Loss – 49ers 31, Giants 20

Week 14: (Dec 13) Loss – at Seahawks 30, Giants 16

Week 15: (Dec. 20) Win – Giants 17, Browns 13

Week 16: (Dec. 28) Loss – at Lions 33, Giants 23

By this point, these hypothetical Giants have won over twice as many games by Christmas as they did all of last season. They would be in the mix for not just a playoff spot but perhaps even the NFC East. Going to Detroit and getting a 10th win would send the fanbase into absolute delirium, and the Lions lost three of their last four games in 2025 to miss the postseason altogether. But going into Ford Field and getting a win is a tall ask, and Detroit's high-octane offense is just going to be too much to overcome.

Week 17: (Jan. 3) Loss – at Cowboys 34, Giants 31

Week 18: (TBD) Loss – Eagles 26, Giants 24

Final Record: 9-8

A three-game skid to close the season certainly wouldn't be ideal. But it's hard to find too much fault with the Giants' first winning season since 2022. A nine-win season would leave New York on the fringe of Wild Card contention, and if the G-Men could eke out one more victory, the playoffs could legitimately be in play.
