Tampa Bay Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy is being celebrated for a second time as the top goaltender in the NHL.

Vasilevskiy was announced Saturday as the winner of the 2025-26 Vezina Trophy.

This marks Vasilevskiy's sixth time as a Vezina Trophy finalist and his second as a winner after also taking home the trophy in 2019.

The Vezina Trophy is awarded annually to the top goaltender as voted on by NHL general managers.

According to the Associated Press, 17 out of 31 ballots gave a first-place vote to Vasilevskiy.

The New York Islanders' Ilya Sorokin finished the vote in second place, while the Boston Bruins' Jeremy Swayman ranked third, according to the AP.

The Washington Capitals' Logan Thompson, Colorado Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood, Philadelphia Flyers' Dan Vladar, New York Rangers' Igor Shesterkin and Dallas Stars' Jake Oettinger also received votes, per the AP.

Vasilevskiy was once more honored as the league's top netminder after becoming the sixth goaltender in NHL history to record nine 30-win seasons.

He finished the campaign with a league-high 39 victories while posting a .912 save percentage and 2.31 goals against average, both top-five among goalies with at least 20 appearances.

Vasilevskiy's campaign was highlighted starting on Dec. 20 by a dominant 17-0-1 stretch during which he held opponents to fewer than two goals per game.

He also posted two shutouts while helping the Lightning qualify for a ninth straight postseason.

The Lightning were ultimately eliminated from the first round by the Montreal Canadiens, but Vasilevskiy is set to remain a key part of the team's championship hopes going forward.

Already a central part of the Lightning's back-to-back Cup wins in 2020 and 2021, Vasilevskiy is signed for two more seasons in Tampa.

Sorokin finished as runner-up after posting the best high-danger save percentage in the NHL. Swayman was named a first-time finalist after helping lead the Bruins back into the playoffs with a 31-18-4 record.
