
Hurricanes Post Video of 'Beer Skate' Concession Menu Item for NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs
As the Carolina Hurricanes open the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday night, they are offering fans the chance to enjoy the game with a special "beer skate" for their adult beverage.
The Hurricanes unveiled the "beer skate" that will be available at select concession stands inside Lenovo Center.

Carolina's promotional item caught the attention of Philadelphia sports legend Jason Kelce, who noted on X that he "would love" to drink out of the beer skate before playfully adding "f--k you guys for the next series" because he's loyal to the Flyers.
The Hurricanes are known for their innovative beer vessels. They previously sold beer sticks during the 2024 postseason and brought them back last year.
All of this comes as the Hurricanes look to continue their positive postseason momentum. They swept their first-round series against the Ottawa Senators. The Colorado Avalanche were the only other team to accomplish a first-round sweep.
Carolina finished the regular season with an Eastern Conference-best 113 points. It marked the franchise's fourth time surpassing the 100-point mark in the last five seasons.
The Hurricanes have reached the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the previous three years, but they were unable to get over the final hurdle to reach the Stanley Cup Final.
Carolina won three of four head-to-head meetings with the Flyers during the regular season. Game 1 between the two division rivals will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
