Caitlin Clark Exits Fever Preseason Game with Injury, Latest Updates on WNBA Star
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark told reporters she feels "fine" despite sitting out the fourth quarter of a Thursday night preseason matchup against the Dallas Wings after taking contact on a third-quarter foul.
"I just landed on my kneecap really hard," Clark said after the game (h/t Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star).

Angel Revenge Game in Preseason Opener
Clark could be seen limping after colliding with the Wings' Alanna Smith on an attempted three-pointer in the third quarter.
Officials assessed a Flagrant 1 Foul on the play. Clark stayed in to take her three free throws, then subbed out for Raven Johnson and did not return to the game.
Clark was examined on the bench but did not go to the locker room as the Wings closed out a 95-80 preseason win, per The Athletic's James Boyd.
Clark finished out the game having contributed 21 points in 16 minutes on 4-for-6 shooting from the field.
She also went 2-for-3 from deep and 11-for-13 from the foul line while contributing four assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Clark was playing in her second game with the Fever since July 15, when she suffered a groin re-injury that ultimately sidelined her for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Already delayed in her start to the campaign after suffering a left quad strain in training camp, Clark was ultimately limited to just 13 games in her second WNBA season.
Clark told reporters earlier this month she had fully recovered from the multiple injuries, including the groin and quad injuries in addition to a left ankle bone bruise.
"Taking care of my body at this point in the season is probably the most important thing," Clark said about working to stay healthy ahead of the season, per ESPN's Kareem Copeland. "Whether that's recovery, whether that's pre-court treatment, whatever it is. I think it's those type of things."
Keeping Clark healthy will be key to helping the Fever build on last fall's surprising run to the WNBA semifinals.
The Fever are set to wrap up the preseason Saturday against the Nigerian national team, followed one week later by their regular-season opener against the Wings.
