Browns Trade with Cowboys to Draft Star WR for Shedeur, Browns QB1 Battle in Reuter's NFL Mock Draft
Entering the 2026 NFL draft with two first-round picks and several needs to fill, the Cleveland Browns are projected to address their offense early in Chad Reuter's latest seven-round mock on NFL.com.
In fact, Reuter has the Browns trading up with the Dallas Cowboys late in the first round to select Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson at No. 20 overall to give whoever their starting quarterback is an outside target.
Cleveland's first pick in Reuter's mock is Georgia offensive tackle Monroe Freeling at No. 6.

The projected trade Reuter proposes costs the Browns their picks in rounds three and five, as well as a swap of the 24th selection, to move up four spots and get a potential No. 1 wide receiver.
If Tyson stays on the board until the 20th pick, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a team like the Browns attempt to make a play to move up and take him. He is B/R's top-ranked receiver in this class and No. 8 overall prospect.
B/R's NFL scouting department has Tyson coming off the board at 16 to the New York Jets in its latest three-round mock.
The Browns' current group of wide receivers includes Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman and Isaiah Bond. They did appear to hit a home run in the draft last year by getting Harold Fannin Jr. in the third round.
If the Browns can find a potential difference-making receiver to pair with Fannin on the inside, they could have something cooking on offense.
New head coach Todd Monken has already said that Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson and Dillon Gabriel will all be competing for the starting quarterback job throughout the offseason.
Sanders started the final seven games last season, throwing for 1,353 yards with seven touchdowns and nine interceptions in that span. Gabriel was benched in favor of Sanders after throwing for 918 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in his stint as the starter from Weeks 5 through 11.
Watson hasn't appeared in a game since Week 7 of the 2024 season due to multiple Achilles injuries. He has been medically cleared to play in games.
The easiest way to help a quarterback succeed is provide them with a strong offensive line and good group of skill-position talent. The Browns could address both areas in the first round with their two picks.
Tyson was limited to just nine games at Arizona State last season due to a hamstring injury, but he put up 711 yards and nine total touchdowns when he was on the field.
The 21-year-old had a career-high 1,101 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games during the 2024 season.
