NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for Weber State IOL Gavin Ortega

Gavin Ortega has adequate size with solid play strength and athletic ability, winning with very good hand placement and proactive footwork to stay attached and steer defenders deep into reps. His profile projects best inside at guard, where his traits can play up, though he will need time to acclimate given the jump in competition and limited experience there. Ortega is still young (turns 22 in April), leaving room for continued physical development.

Ortega is a 6'5", 304-pound offensive line prospect who entered the Weber State program as a 3-star recruit in the 2022 class.

The former Wildcat started 35 career games primarily at left (24) and right (11) tackle, including 12 on the blindside in 2025 as a team captain, earning first team All-Big Sky honors.
