Caitlin Clark-Raven Johnson Rivalry Addressed by Aliyah Boston in New Video with Candace Parker
Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston addressed new teammates Caitlin Clark and Raven Johnson being former college rivals on Wednesday.
"It's so funny because the fans always have more beef than the players actually do, so it's always entertaining, you read all this stuff and 'fans are hating on one person, hating on another' and you're playing with that said person," Boston told former WNBA star Candace Parker on their Post Moves podcast (h/t Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star). "I think it's going to be fine. Everyone has their thoughts, but when you're in the gym and you're ready to hoop, that's literally all it is."

The Fever selected Johnson with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA draft on Monday.
She spent her entire college career with South Carolina, facing off against Clark during her tenure at Iowa multiple times.
In the Final Four of the 2023 NCAA women's tournament, Clark waved off Johnson after she was wide open from behind the arc and allowed her to shoot an uncontested three.
The Hawkeyes ended up defeating the Gamecocks by the final score of 77-73.
Both schools clashed once again in the 2024 national championship game, although South Carolina emerged with an 87-75 win.
Clark entered the 2024 WNBA draft following the loss, kicking off an impressive career that has already included two All-Star nods and a Rookie of the Year victory.
Meanwhile, Johnson will look to provide a boost to Indiana's backcourt rotation after averaging 9.9 points, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game on 48.6/39.8/82.0 shooting splits during her senior year at South Carolina.
Boston could also help make her transition to the WNBA easier, as they were previously teammates on the Gamecocks from 2021-23.
