Flyers Mascot Gritty Trolls Penguins' Iceburgh in Trending Video Ahead of NHL Playoff Series

Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty is ready for his team's upcoming first-round Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup against their in-state rivals.

Gritty shared a video slowly zooming in on a photo of him standing menacingly behind Pittsburgh Penguins mascot Iceburgh.

This series marks the first playoff matchup between the Penguins and Flyers since 2018, when the Penguins won in six games before losing to the Washington Capitals in the second round.

Pittsburgh is set to host the first two games of the series, the schedule of which has yet to be announced.

The Penguins will pit longtime stars Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang against a young Flyers core of Trevor Zegras, Matvei Michkov and Dan Vladar.
