Dallas made Fudd the seventh UConn player to be a No. 1 pick in the WNBA.
Olivia Miles went second to the Minnesota Lynx. She'll join Naphessa Collier in the Minnesota backcourt.
Seattle made the first frontcourt selection of the draft with Awa Fam Thiam out of Spain.
Lauren Betts became the first of many UCLA players to be selected on Monday night. She went to the Washington Mystics at No. 4.
Betts and two of her national championship-winning Bruins teammates went from fourth to sixth. Gabriela Jaquez was selected by the Chicago Sky at No. 5 and Kiki Rice went to the Toronto Tempo at No. 6.
Angela Dugalic went ninth and Gianna Kneepkens was selected 15th to give UCLA the most first-round picks in a single draft from one college program.
Flau'jae Johnson is the only first-round selection that was traded. The LSU star was initially drafted by Golden State, but was then sent to Seattle in exchange for the draft rights to Marta Suarez and a 2028 second-round pick.
