Tigers' Parker Meadows Released from Hospital After Injuries From Collision with Riley Greene
Detroit Tigers center fielder Parker Meadows suffered a broken arm and concussion while receiving five stitches for the cut to his cheek after a head-to-head collision with his teammate Riley Greene, per ESPN.
He was hospitalized Thursday and held overnight for observation but was released on Friday.
"He's been cleared to travel and is on his way back," manager A.J. Hinch said. "His wife flew out to be with him. We left a trainer with him overnight. Now getting him back to Detroit is the priority. He'll remain under observation for the concussion, and he's got multiple appointments coming up here regarding the arm."

Meadows was placed on the 10-day injured list.
Greene was able to make the catch, but ran into Meadows in the process. Meadows was knocked onto his back and appeared to have blood on his face after the collision. He was able to sit up after a few minutes, and the medical staff helped him stand and get onto a cart.
"It's a terrible feeling. I still feel terrible," Greene said. "He hit my head. I don't know where I hit him, to be honest, but I just really hope he's OK."
The pop fly, which was hit by Josh Bell, was shallow to left-center and both players went for it, with Greene appearing to call for it. Meadows appeared to slow his stride, but it was too late.
The Tigers lost to the Minnesota Twins 3-1, giving the Twins a series sweep and marking five straight losses for Detroit, which dropped to 4-9.
Hinch revealed after the game that Meadows had sustained the concussion, while the bleeding on his face was from him biting the inside of his mouth during the collision.
Meadows, 26, is in his fourth MLB season, all of which have been with the Tigers. He's collected nine hits and two RBI while slashing .250/.308/.333 so far this year.
