Blue Jays Sell More Than 100K Hot Dogs During Game vs. Dodgers in Honor of Inaugural 1977 Season
The Toronto Blue Jays sold 77-cent hot dogs to celebrate their inaugural 1977 season, and fans got their money's worth.
During Tuesday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Blue Jays sold 100,000-plus hot dogs by the seventh inning.

The Rogers Centre has a capacity of 39,150, which means fans ate about 2.5 hot dogs each if it was a sellout. Some fans are likely carrying the weight more than others, though.
The Blue Jays, who went to the World Series for the first time since 1993 last year, are hoping to make their 50th season a good one, but they're not off to a great start. Toronto won its first series of the year against the Athletics, but dropped the following series against the Colorado Rockies. The Jays have now lost six straight after dropping Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.
Doing a 77-cent hot dog night likely got fans out to the Rogers Centre, but the Blue Jays will have to turn things around soon to get them to keep coming back.
