Twins Troll Carter Jensen in Social Media Photos After Royals Rookie Overslept for Game
Ahead of their home opener against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday, the Minnesota Twins had some fun at the expense of Kanas City Royals rookie Carter Jensen.
After the Royals benched Jensen for Thursday's game against Minnesota for arriving late to the stadium due to oversleeping, the Twins trolled him on X by urging fans to set their alarms.

MLB.com's Anne Rogers noted Jensen was in the original starting lineup for Kansas City on Thursday, but manager Matt Quatraro inserted Salvador Perez as the catcher about an hour before first pitch.
Quatraro said after the game that Jensen "had an oversight" and didn't arrive to the park on time, so they "made the decision to scratch him from the lineup."
The Royals skipper was complimentary of Jensen in spite of the incident, calling him a "stand-up guy, a really hard worker, a great kid" and this isn't something they are concerned about going forward.
Jensen also didn't try to make excuses about what happened.
"No running from it," Jensen said after Kansas City's 5-1 loss. "Just didn't wake up to my alarm. Slept through it. Don't really have an excuse, nor should I. It sucks. Happens. I felt like I let my teammates down, coaches down. Just learn from it and know it won't happen again."
Jensen entered the game in the top of the ninth to catch after Perez was replaced by a pinch runner in the bottom of the eighth.
Perez, who is the fourth-oldest catcher in MLB this season, was originally in the lineup as the designated hitter for the afternoon game after starting behind the plate on Wednesday night in a game that took more than 3.5 hours to complete.
Jensen made his MLB debut last September, hitting .300/.391/.550 in 20 games. He has appeared in all six games so far this season, with four starts at DH and one at catcher.
