Igor Shesterkin scratched a career milestone off the list on Tuesday night.

The New York Rangers' goalie got into the first goalie fight of his career, squaring off against New Jersey Devils net-minder Jacob Markström, and Shesterkin appeared to be the clear winner in the bout.

Shesterkin and New York Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin are close friends, so his remarks after the game were clearly tongue-in-cheek.

As for Tuesday, Shesterkin won the battle and the Rangers won the war, defeating the Devils 4-1.
