Mike Tomlin's Top Potential TV Landing Spot Reportedly Revealed for NFL Season After Steelers Exit
Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin could have a new job before his longtime team has even started mandatory OTAs.
Television networks and streaming services are expected to pitch Tomlin on working for them in April and May, according to Front Office Sports' Michael McCarthy.
Tomlin's contract "could easily reach into eight figures," McCarthy reported.

NBC is considered the "clear favorite" to sign Tomlin, according to McCarthy, who also named Fox, CBS, ESPN, NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix as potential contenders.
Tomlin stepped down from head coaching in January after 19 seasons with the Steelers. McCarthy and Ryan Glasspiegel reported last week that he has since signed with a sports media agency.
He stepped away from the NFL with a career regular-season record of 193-114-2 and a playoff record of 8-12, including a Super Bowl championship following the 2008 season.
The Steelers never recorded a losing record in Tomlin's 19 seasons at the helm, marking the third-most non-losing seasons under a single NFL head coach before Tom Landry (21 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys) and Bill Belichick (New England Patriots).
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported shortly after Tomlin stepped down that multiple networks already had offers out to the former Steelers coach "in anticipation" of his departure from the NFL.
Glasspiegel and McCarthy previously reported that there are openings at NBC, which recently split with longtime analyst Tony Dungy, as well as CBS, from which Matt Ryan recently departed to join the front office of the Atlanta Falcons.
Fox could also be looking for another Sunday pregame analyst alongside Rob Gronkowski following Jimmy Johnson's retirement, Glasspiegel and McCarthy noted.
The Wall Street Journal's Jessica Toonkel and Joe Flint, meanwhile, recently reported that Netflix is looking to expand its NFL offering from two to four games, potentially indicating more investment in the sport from the streamer.
A bid from ESPN could potentially put Tomlin on track to participate in broadcasting the 2027 Super Bowl, which is set to air on the network next February.
With Dungy and Johnson currently out of the broadcasting game, hiring a former NFL coach could be even more appealing to networks. According to McCarthy, that could be enough to earn Tomlin, who was making around $16 million with the Steelers, at least $10 million a year on his first media contract.
