Latest 2026 NFL Draft Odds on Top 5 Picks, Potential Landing Spots for Jeremiyah Love, More
FanDuel's odds for the first five picks in the NFL draft are in, and unsurprisingly, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is an overwhelming favorite to be the top overall selection of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Ohio State edge-rusher Arvell Reese is the favorite to go No. 2 to the New York Jets, followed by Texas Tech edge David Bailey at No. 3, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 4 and Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles No. 5.

Fan-Voted NFL Mock Draft
The first four picks mirror the latest B/R NFL Draft Scouting Department mock draft, though B/R veers at No. 5, projecting the New York Giants to select Ohio State safety Caleb Downs instead of Styles. FanDuel has the odds of that particular selection at +380, the second highest, so Downs ending up in the Big Apple would hardly be surprising.
"A lot of differing opinions exist regarding Downs, but John Harbaugh knows what this kind of prospect can do for a defense," B/R's Daniel Harms wrote. "He's spent the last few years watching Kyle Hamilton be a unique chess piece for the Baltimore Ravens. While the body types are different, their impacts on the defense can be similar. Downs unlocked every defensive player at Ohio State last season with his football IQ, instincts and versatility. He'll be the glue that holds the Giants' defense together and allows everyone around him to flourish."
NFL teams generally trend toward selecting players from premium positions (quarterback, offensive tackle, edge-rusher, wide receiver, cornerback) earlier in drafts, so a running back, linebacker or safety going in the top five would veer from that trend.
An off-ball linebacker hasn't been selected in the top five since 2019 (Devin White, No. 5). A running back hasn't been a top-five pick since 2018 (Saquon Barkley, No. 2). A safety hasn't been a top-five selection since 2010 (Eric Berry, No. 5).
But in a year that is relatively weak at quarterback and has premier prospects at running back, off-ball linebacker and safety, teams might choose to buck those trends. Or teams could trade out of the top five, hoping to land players like Love, Styles and Downs a bit further down the board. The draft is always unpredictable, but this year seems particularly murky.
