Shohei Ohtani's 1st World Series HR Ball Sells for $114K, Hit During Dodgers vs. Blue Jays Series

The ball from Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani's first-ever World Series home run has sold for $114,000 at auction.

SCP Auctions put the ball up for bidding. The ball received five bids, and the price included a buyer's premium. This was a timed auction that started on Thursday, March 12 and ended on Sunday, March 29 at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Ohtani's first Fall Classic homer was a two-run shot in the top of the seventh inning in Game 1 of the 2025 World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

That homer was one of the very few bright spots in the Dodgers' 11-4 loss. However, the World Series ended in the Dodgers' favor, with L.A. winning back-to-back Fall Classics after beating the Blue Jays in seven games. Ohtani led all players in the Series with three home runs and a 1.278 OPS.

Ohtani is a four-time league MVP who has largely dominated the league since entering it with the Los Angeles Angels in 2018. He's somehow upped his game since signing with the Dodgers in free agency in 2024, amassing 109 home runs, 232 RBI and 79 stolen bases alongside a 1.025 OPS over the past two years.

His Dodgers have started their quest for a three-peat with three straight wins over the Arizona Diamondbacks, and they'll look to continue the season-opening win streak on Monday at home vs. the Cleveland Guardians.
