Miami Open Masters 2026, Men's Finals Preview After Sabalenka Wins Women's Bracket Over Coco Gauff
The 2026 Miami Open continued on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium, as Aryna Sabalenka secured a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win Coco Gauff in the women's singles final.
The men's singles final will take place on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, with Jannik Sinner set to face off against Jiří Lehečka.
As for the women's final, Sabalenka wrapped up her second consecutive Miami Open title after previously winning the tournament in 2025. She also became the first woman to complete the Sunshine Double since Iga Świątek in 2022, as she already won the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells this year.
Sabalenka started off strong on Saturday, winning the first set 6-2 without facing much resistance. Gauff bounced back in the second set, showcasing her strong serve to earn a 6-4 victory.
Still, Sabalenka was able to win the decisive third set by avoid mistakes and staying aggressive.
She didn't record a double fault throughout the entire match.
Now, the attention shifts to Sinner and Lehečka in the next singles final of the second ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the year.
Sinner punched his ticket to the final with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win over Alexander Zverev in Friday's semifinals.
The Italian is also on the verge of clinching the Sunshine Double following his Indian Wells victory, as he'd become the first man to accomplish the feat since Roger Federer in 2017.
Sinner has been dominant as of late, winning 32 straight sets at an ATP Masters 1000.
Lehečka is looking to pull off an upset victory over the four-time Grand Slam champion and enters Sunday's final with plenty of his own momentum.
The 24-year-old is coming off a convincing 6-2, 6-2 victory against Arthur Fils in the semifinal round. Lehečka didn't face a single break point during the match.
He'll attempt to notch his first professional win against Sinner, as he lost in each of their prior three matchups.
