Mike Tannenbaum Reveals Prospects He'd Target from New Big Board in Every Round of 2026 NFL Draft

Andrew PetersMar 27, 2026

Any good NFL front office is adept at making the right pick early in the draft, but what separates a great front office is finding talent later in the draft.

Ahead of the draft in April, ESPN's Mike Tannenbaum revealed the prospects that he'd target in each round.

Tannenbaum pointed to USC wide receiver Makai Lemon, Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman and Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq as first-rounders he'd take in the first round outside of the top 10.

For the second round, he identified Clemons defensive tackle Peter Woods, San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson and Indiana cornerback D'Angelo Ponds. UCF edge Malachi Lawrence, Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers and Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez were his steals of the third round.

Tannenbaum looked to the quarterback position as sleepers in the fourth round, noting Arkansas' Taylen Green and Penn State's Drew Allar.

Michigan tight end Marlin Klein, Oregon linebacker Bryce Boettcher and UTSA kicker Jaffer Murphy rounded out the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds.

It's hard to tell whether any draft prospect will actually pan out, let alone one that's taken late in the draft, there are bound to be a few standouts every year.
