Ty Simpson Arm Strength Concerns Addressed by NFL Scout After Alabama Pro Day amid Draft Rumors
Alabama's Ty Simpson has been one of the most divisive draft prospects this year, and one main concern scouts have had is the quarterback's arm strength.
Simpson might have put those concerns to rest at his pro day this week.
According to ESPN's Jordan Reid, "multiple scouts in attendance came away impressed with how the ball came off Simpson's hand" at his pro day on Wednesday.

New Report on Colts-Richardson Situation
"I thought his arm was a little above average on tape, but it's much stronger than I anticipated after seeing him up close," said an NFC executive.
Simpson is the No. 26 overall player and the No. 2 quarterback, only behind Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, on the latest big board from B/R's NFL Scouting Department.
Simpson played behind Bryce Young and then Jalen Milroe before earning ths tarting role in 2025, and he made the most of his sole season under center. He threw for 3,567 yards and 28 touchdowns with five interceptions, leading the Crimson Tide to an 11-4 record and the College Football Playoff quarterfinal.
In the months leading up to the draft, it appeared that Simpson was a bit of a stretch to be taken in the first round, but he's starting to trend upwards. A strong evaluation from scouts at his pro day will only help his chances.
