The actor and comedian drove infielders Freddie Freeman and Miguel Rojas onto Los Angeles' field on Opening Day, as Freeman and Rojas each held Commissioner's Trophies.

In 2025, the Dodgers became the first team to win the World Series in back-to-back years since the New York Yankees in 2000.
Ferrell is a noted Los Angeles sports fan and has routinely been spotted at Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Kings games.
He also briefly suited up for the Dodgers in a Cactus League game as part of an HBO special in 2015.
Los Angeles captured its 2024 World Series title in five games before taking down the Toronto Blue Jays in a thrilling Game 7 to win a second consecutive championship last season.
Expectations remain high for the Dodgers heading into 2026, as they still boast an imposing squad filled with stars such as Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow.
Los Angeles also had a busy offseason, signing closer Edwin Díaz to a three-year contract in free agency before handing outfielder Kyle Tucker a four-year deal worth $240 million.
The Dodgers opened their 2026 campaign against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.
