Commanders' New Uniforms Get Release Date in Teaser Video Ahead of 2026 NFL Season
April 15 won't exclusively be known as tax day for Washington Commanders fans.
The Commanders released a teaser video for their new uniforms for the 2026 season, with the full reveal coming on April 15.
This will mark the third consecutive year the Commanders have unveiled a new jersey combination. Prior to the 2024 season, they brought back their gold pants that were previously retired after 2018.
Last year they debuted a "Super Bowl-era" alternate look with a helmet and jersey from the 1980s and early-90s.
When the Commanders' current ownership group, led by Josh Harris, took control of the franchise, one point of emphasis was honoring the organization's rich history while building for the future.
Details about the new Commanders uniforms are unknown at this point. The club currently uses three primary combinations, including the burgundy and white tops. They also have an all-black combination that was used in their Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears last season.
The uniform reveal will come eight days before the 2026 NFL draft. The Commanders own the No. 7 overall pick in the first round this year.
