Eagles' Cam Jurgens Reveals Severe Injury Amid Super Bowl Run in Video, 'Worst Month of My Life'
Cam Jurgens helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a dominant Super Bowl in 2025, and he did so while battling a serious injury.
The Eagles' center revealed on the Bussin' With the Boys podcast that he suffered a severe back injury right before the playoffs started.
"That Super Bowl we won, I mean, I had a herniated disc, and then right before the playoffs, my disc broke off and got wrapped around my sciatic nerve, so it was just like suffocating my leg," Jurgens said (1:50:40 mark). "It was hard to walk, I don't know how I was playing. It was easily the worst month of my life, but then also kind of the best month of my life because we won the Super Bowl."

The Eagles rewarded Jurgens for sacrificing his body during that playoff run, giving him a four-year, $68 million extension last April. The back injury luckily didn't stick around in 2025, and he was able to play 14 games.
He's spending the 2026 offseason ensuring he's as healthy as possible, even taking a trip to Colombia in February for a "health reset week."
