New Charles Davis NFL Mock Draft Drops, What Changed After 2026 Free Agency and Pro Days?
NFL.com's Charles Davis is buying into the growing hype around Ty Simpson.
In his latest mock draft released on Thursday, Davis paired the Alabama quarterback with the Arizona Cardinals at No. 3 overall.
Here are the top 10 picks in Davis' new mock:

The Simpson projection is, by far, the biggest change for Davis from his previous mock that was released on March 3. Simpson wasn't even included in the first round in that mock.
Davis did note that he doesn't necessarily think the Cardinals will take Simpson at No. 3, but they are the team that he is betting on getting him.
That could require some maneuvering given that other quarterback-needy teams like the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns have two first-round picks. Simpson has a private workout with Jets officials scheduled for Friday, per ESPN's Field Yates.
The Jets actually have three picks before the Cardinals' second selection comes up at No. 34. New York owns the No. 2 and 16 picks in the first round, as well as the first pick in the second round (No. 33 overall).
Simpson has already met with officials for the Los Angeles Rams, who own pick No. 13. They don't necessarily need to prioritize the quarterback spot, but it could be an opportunity for a team with an already-loaded roster to start thinking about a succession plan for the post-Matthew Stafford era whenever he decides to retire.
Another notable change this time around for Davis is Jeremiyah Love, who was dropped down a couple spots because he was previously projected to the Cardinals.
Now, Davis has Love going to the New York Giants at No. 5 to give Jaxson Dart another playmaker. It might be a hard pill for Giants fans to swallow based on how strong the connection was between Dart and Cam Skattebo when they were on the field together last season, but there are plenty of teams that have made the two-back system work with great results.
The Giants aren't so loaded with talent on offense that they should dismiss anything, especially for a player like Love who is regarded as the best offensive player in this class by B/R's NFL scouting department.
Simpson's inclusion in the top three for Davis opens things up for teams later in the top 10 to add much-needed defensive talent. If the Washington Commanders come out of the first round with Sonny Styles at No. 7, they should be throwing a parade outside Northwest Stadium.
The same could also be said for the Kansas City Chiefs if Rueben Bain Jr. falls into their lap at nine. They don't have an ace off the edge right now.
George Karlaftis is a solid pass-rusher, but Bain, even with the questions about his arm length, has every other trait needed to be an impact player at the NFL level and stepped up on the biggest stage in college to help Miami reach the College Football Playoff Championship Game.
