In all, Simpson completed 50 of his 55 passes on Wednesday with a few drops, per The Athletic's Jeff Howe.
While Simpson is ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in B/R's latest draft big board behind only 2025 Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, it doesn't appear that his pro day drew a large audience. ESPN's Courtney Cronin reported that Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles was the only GM in attendance on Wednesday.
However, it should be noted that Ohio State's pro day was also on Wednesday, and that drew a long list of NFL coaches and executives.
While Simpson's talent is clear, NFL teams are rightfully wary of his lack of experience, as he's started just 15 games in his college career. Any team that drafts him would be wise to let him develop behind a veteran quarterback before thrusting him into action.
Still, there's a chance that Simpson's pro-day performance boosts his draft stock enough for a team to take a chance on him in the first round, as it's not easy to pass on a potential future franchise quarterback.
