Anthony Richardson, Kirk Cousins, Russell Wilson Landing Spots After Joe Flacco's Bengals Contract
Another free agent quarterback is off the board.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, veteran quarterback Joe Flacco signed a one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, with whom he spent the second half of the 2025 campaign after being traded from the Cleveland Browns.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With Flacco and other quarterbacks like Kyler Murray, Tua Tagovailoa and Malik Willis having landed with their new teams, those squads without a quarterback might look to one of Anthony Richardson, Kirk Cousins or Russell Wilson.
Richardson, who is still under contract with the Indianapolis Colts but has been permitted to seek a trade, has been linked to the Green Bay Packers this offseason. The Packers need a backup quarterback for Jordan Love after Willis' departure in free agency.
The Los Angeles Rams are also lacking depth at quarterback, and Richardson would be an affordable, short-term option behind Matthew Stafford.
Cousins is in the opposite stage of his career from Richardson. Rather than trying to make a name for himself, the veteran is looking to prove he can still hang in the NFL.
The Las Vegas Raiders would be an intriguing option for the 37-year-old. The team will likely use its No. 1 overall pick next month to take Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, but it will need a reliable option under center in case the young player isn't quite ready to take over as the starter.
The Athletic's Matt Schneidman noted that "the idea of adding a proven veteran like Cousins" could "entice" Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, so he could be an option for Green Bay.
Wilson, who began the 2025 season as the New York Giants' starter but was later benched for rookie Jaxson Dart, hasn't made a lot of headlines this offseason, but he's not a bad option for a number of teams.
It could make sense for him to return to Pittsburgh, where he spent the 2024 season. The Steelers are still awaiting a decision from Aaron Rodgers, though, so the team might wait to bring in a different quarterback.
The New York Jets already brought in Geno Smith, but the team reportedly is targeting multiple quarterbacks, so Wilson could be the second option.
