Sleeper: Michael Harris II, OF, Atlanta Braves
2 of 3
Michael Harris may not have developed into the superstar fans pegged him as a few seasons back, but he emerged from last year's All-Star break and delivered a thrilling, strong conclusion to the 2025 season that should have fantasy managers eyeing him as a potential breakout player this year.
Harris blasted 14 home runs in the second-half, with an average of .299 and OPS of .845. He finished the season with 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases, giving fans some hope that he might reach the thus far elusive 30/30 status some thought he was capable of years ago.
While more season-long consistency from the 25-year-old, if he can pick up where he left off, he may be more than just a deep sleeper in this upcoming fantasy baseball season and more of a genuine starter.
Hidden Gem: Andrew Painter, SP, Philadelphia Phillies
3 of 3
The Phillies top prospect had a rough 2025 in the minor leagues, halting his debut in the big leagues. He amassed a stat line that included a 5.26 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. He gave up 18 home runs in just 22 games before being demoted to single-A ball, where he gave up two home runs in four games.
While those numbers would rightfully give anyone reason not to add the righty to their lineup, Painter officially made the Phillies Opening Day rotation and will have an opportunity to show the world why he was once one of the top pitching prospects in the game.
If he can avoid the issues that plagued his game last year, Painter has the potential to be this year's Trey Yesavage, a highly-touted prospect whose impact is felt on his Major League team early and often.
That makes him a potential fantasy star, but even sooner than Yesavage was able to affect the Blue Jay's rotation.
And fantasy lineups.
