Highlights
Oklahoma State's Sergio Vega became the first undefeated true freshman since 1947 by capping off his 24-0 season with a 4-1 overtime win over Ohio State's Jesse Mendez in the 141-pound division.
Stanford's Aden Valencia, a No. 10 seed, defeated top-seeded Shayne Van Ness of Penn State in an 8-5 sudden victory to claim the national title at 149 pounds.
Oklahoma State secured another individual national title when the Cowboys' Landon Robideau defeated former national champion Antrell Taylor of Nebraska in a 4-2 decision.
Penn State's Mitchell Mesenbrink repeated as national champion at 165 after with a 20-4 tech fall over Iowa's Michael Caliendo.
Levi Haines gave the Nittany Lions another winner in the 174-pound division, securing his second national championship by defeating Nebraska's Chris Mint.
Meanwhile, Max McEnelly of Minnesota won against Penn State's Rocco Welsh, who was previously undefeated, for the 184-pound title.
Penn State, which tied a tournament record with six finalists in the final 10 matchups, had already clinched the team national championship in the semifinal round.
The Nittany Lions have now claimed five straight men's wrestling team titles, as well as 13 in the last 15 years.
