Rays Reveal Jersey Patches Will Contain Pieces of Tropicana Field Roof Destroyed By Hurricane Milton
As the Tampa Bays Rays return to Tropicana Field this season, they'll wear special patches to remember the storm that forced them out of their stadium last season.
The team announced Thursday that they'll wear sponsored patches on the sleeves of their jerseys that contain pieces of the Tropicana Field roof that was destroyed by Hurricane Milton in October of 2024.
"A constant reminder that when we suit up and take the field, we face the storm together," the team wrote.

Webull, online investment platform based in St. Petersburg, will sponsor the patches.
"A message of resilience and strength and just how strong our community is," chief executive officer Ken Babby said, per The Athletic's Chad Jennings.
The Rays were unable to play at Tropicana Field during the 2025 season after Hurricane Milton tore through Tampa and the surrounding area. The roof of the stadium, ripped off by the hurricane, was a symbol of the damage done.
The team relocated to Steinbrenner Field—the New York Yankees' spring training facility—but will be able to play at Tropicana Field once again after city of St. Petersburg spent more than $50 million on repairs.
