Hyundai Card Super Match 14 - Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz

Men's Draw

Alcaraz kicked off 2026 riding a wave of momentum that had him looking like the most dominant player in the sport early. Sinner exploded back into the picture with his own dominant play, never dropping a set en route to a victory at Indian Wells.

The renewal of their rivalry awaits if they can fend off their competition, including Daniil Medvedev, who dropped the final of Indian Wells to Sinner.

Though there is no sure thing in sports, the path to an Alcaraz-Sinner final is close to it, thanks to a bevy of favorable match-ups for the young superstars. While Medvedev could prove problematic, the lack of Novak Djokovic should clear the way to the finals for each, giving fans the latest showdown in a rivalry that should fuel the sport for the next decade.

Women's Draw

Much like the men's draw, the women's features the very real possibility of a marquee match-up in the semifinals.

Sabalenka and Rybakina have clashed in the WTA Finals, the Australian Open, and Indian Wells, sparking a new rivalry at the top of the women's rankings.

Rybakina took the first two wins but Sabalenka stopped her opponent's momentum, winning a third-set tiebreak. The top-ranked player in the world will hope to even the series, but it will come one step shy of the finale, thanks to the seeding of this year's tournament.

American Jessica Pegula could prove to be an obstacle for Rybakina. A tough, gritty player, she plays her opponents tough, though the World's No. 2 bested her in the Indian Wells quarterfinals, do not be surprised if Pegula pulls off the upset and prevents another rematch in the budding rivalry.
