Daniel Jeremiah Reveals New 2026 NFL Mock Draft After 1st Week of Free Agency

Joseph ZuckerMar 17, 2026

A pair of Ohio State standouts were notable movers in the newest mock draft from NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah.

Jeremiah led off with the Las Vegas Raiders taking Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, which is the conventional wisdom. At this point, anything other than that outcome will be a big surprise.

The draft expert then had OSU edge-rusher/linebacker Arvell Reese going second overall to the New York Jets. That's up from No. 7 in Jeremiah's mock draft 2.0. Buckeyes linebacker Sonny Styles had an even bigger jump, climbing from 15th to the New York Giants at No. 5.

Daniel Jeremiah 2026 NFL Mock Draft 3.0 — Top 10

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

2. New York Jets: Arvell Reese, Edge/LB, Ohio State

3. Arizona Cardinals: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

4. Tennessee Titans: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

5. New York Giants: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

6. Cleveland Browns: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

7. Washington Commanders: Rueben Bain Jr., Edge, Miami

8. New Orleans Saints: David Bailey, Texas Tech, Edge

9. Kansas City Chiefs: Spencer Fano, OL, Utah

10. Cincinnati Bengals: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

The state of the 2026 QB class opens up the first round quite a bit. Mendoza was the only one in Jeremiah's mock.

The teams in need of quarterback help appear content to sign a veteran stopgap or wait until at least Day 2 of the draft.

The Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings signed Tua Tagovailoa and Kyler Murray, respectively, for the veteran minimum. The Jets reunited with Geno Smith. The Miami Dolphins were more aggressive in giving Malik Willis $67.5 million, but signing him for only three years gives them some flexibility if he fails to be a suitable starting option.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, meanwhile, appear to have all of their eggs in the Aaron Rodgers basket again.

Quarterbacks tend to drive a lot of draft discourse, but positional intrigue elsewhere will provide a lot of the drama leading up to this year's event.

In the immediate aftermath of the College Football Playoff, Miami's Rueben Bain Jr. looked like the favorite to be the first edge-rusher off the board. Now, he may have ceded ground to Reese and Texas Tech's David Bailey.

Can anybody catch Ohio State's Carnell Tate as the best wide receiver?

Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, the No. 2 player on Bleacher Report's big board, might ensure the position is represented in the top 10 for the third time in four years.

Even in what's considered a down draft year, fans will find plenty of reasons to tune in.
