Broncos' Depth Chart Hyped by NFL Fans After Blockbuster Jaylen Waddle Trade With Dolphins
The Denver Broncos made a massive splash Tuesday, reportedly agreeing to acquire wide receiver Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the trade will send Waddle and a 2026 fourth-round draft pick to Denver in exchange for first-, third- and fourth-round picks in this year's draft.
With Waddle joining an already talented Broncos roster, Denver's offensive depth chart now looks like this:

With quality players at essentially every offensive position, NFL fans (and one of Waddle's new teammates) had plenty to say about where the Broncos stand following the Waddle trade:
When healthy, the 27-year-old Waddle is among the fastest and most explosive wideouts in football, giving Broncos quarterback Bo Nix a weapon who can make big plays after the catch.
Originally selected sixth overall by Miami in the 2021 NFL draft out of Alabama, Waddle has registered 373 receptions for 5,039 yards and 26 touchdowns over five seasons.
He reached the 1,000-yard receiving mark in each of his first three seasons, but his production dipped to 744 yards in 2024 before bouncing back to the tune of 64 grabs for 910 yards and six touchdowns last season.
Waddle has missed at least one game in four of his five NFL seasons, though, and he has played through injuries at various points as well.
Because of that, giving up so much draft capital to land him is a risk on Denver's part, but it could pay huge dividends if Waddle is able to stay healthy.
Waddle joins a Broncos team that went 14-3 and won the AFC West last season, ending the Kansas City Chiefs' nine-year run atop the division.
Denver also made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game before falling to the New England Patriots. The Broncos were without Nix in the AFC title game after he injured his foot the previous week, and Denver's offense could only muster seven points in the loss.
During the 2025 regular season, Denver ranked 10th in total offense, 11th in passing offense and 14th in scoring offense, which were somewhat pedestrian numbers for a 14-win team.
In a stacked division including the Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers, the Broncos needed to improve in that area in order to remain firmly in contention, and the acquisition of Waddle has the potential to take the offense to the next level.
