NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament 2026 Full Bracket and Championship Odds

Joe TanseyMar 17, 2026

The UConn Huskies are an overwhelming favorite to win their second NCAA women's basketball tournament in a row.

Geno Auriemma's team enters the Big Dance at 34-0. The majority of those wins have come by double figures.

The UCLA Bruins, Texas Longhorns and South Carolina Gamecocks are the other No. 1 seeds in the bracket.

UCLA is likely the biggest threat to UConn. The Bruins went 31-1 and have an offense that can match what the Huskies produce on a nightly basis.

Tournament Preview

2 of 2
Connecticut v Creighton

The NCAA women's basketball tournament is UConn's to lose.

The Huskies have been the best team in the nation all season, and at 34-0, the expectation is for them to complete the perfect season.

UConn comes into the Big Dance off three commanding wins in the Big East tournament in which they had an average margin of victory of 44.3 points.

UConn also won four of its five games against ranked opposition by double figures, including a 96-66 win over Tennessee on February 1.

The minimum expectation is for the Huskies to reach the Final Four in Phoenix.

A rematch of the 2025 National Championship is expected in the Final Four between UConn and South Carolina.

The Gamecocks are not as dominant as they've been in previous seasons, but as long as they don't have to play Texas, they'll be in a good position to challenge for the title.

Texas beat South Carolina twice, including in the SEC tournament final, and it has a case to win the title behind Madison Booker.

Booker played well in both wins over South Carolina, as well as in the nonconference win over UCLA.

The Longhorns and Bruins are on a collision course to play at the Final Four.

UCLA has four players who average over 13 points per game, led by Lauren Betts, and if its offense plays at that high-scoring standard, it will be hard to stop before the title game.

A UConn-UCLA national championship game is the dream and we'll likely get that if the Bruins win their rematch with Texas.
