Aaron Judge Reacts to Julio Rodriguez's Epic Catch on Trending Video After USA's Win vs. DR at WBC
The United States earned a 2-1 win over the Dominican Republic on Sunday to reach the World Baseball Classic final, but it was DR's Julio Rodriguez who stole the show with the most memorable moment of the night.
In the fifth inning, Team USA captain and New York Yankees star slugger Aaron Judge launched a blast to deep center field. Rodriguez, who stars for the Seattle Mariners, scaled the wall to rob Judge's home run and keep the one-run difference intact. Judge was seen tossing his bat in frustration after Rodriguez's spectacular catch.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
After the win by the United States, Judge paid homage to Rodriguez for getting the better of him this time around.
"He's going to make exciting plays like that in big moments, and he did," Judge said of Rodriguez, per Alden Gonzalez of ESPN. "I wasn't too happy when he caught it, but a tip of the cap to him, man. He's just an impressive player. It's been fun watching him the last couple years."
Team USA won on a controversial third strike call on a pitch from closer Mason Miller to Dominican shortstop Geraldo Perdomo that likely would've been called a ball in the automated ball-strike system.
Still, the jubilation of winning while chants of "USA!" rained down from fans in attendance overshadowed anything else for the Americans.
"That's what you dream about as a kid -- getting a chance to be in that moment, be in front of these fans," Judge said. "That was definitely special. I think you ask any guy in this clubhouse, on both sides, it was definitely a special game tonight."
