Isiah Pacheco Hilariously Recalls Screaming with Dan Campbell in 1st Call After Lions Contract
Isiah Pacheco said he was "screaming on the phone" during his first conversation with his new head coach Dan Campbell after signing with the Detroit Lions.
Pacheco imitated his excitement on the call during a Thursday press conference, which included responding to Campbell's question about whether the running back wanted to wear No. 10 by saying, "F--king right! Let's go! I'm on my way, I'm coming home!"
"That was the whole adrenaline during the call," Pacheco laughed. "And I just couldn't thank them enough for thinking of me."

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Pacheco was overall enthusiastic in his introductory press conference Thursday, during which he said he "wouldn't want to be anywhere else besides right here on this day and with this new family" (h/t Pride of Detroit's Jeremy Reisman).
About getting the chance to play with Lions quarterback Jared Goff, Pacheco said, "I just can't wait to block my ass off for him."
The Lions signed Pacheco to a reported one-year, $1.81 million deal shortly after trading David Montgomery to the Houston Texans.
He is now set to take over for Montgomery as an option for the Lions to pair with Jahmyr Gibbs.
Pacheco spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, playing key roles in the franchise's back-to-back Super Bowl wins in 2023 and 2024 before seeing his usage drop amid injury issues over the last two seasons.
He will look to take advantage of the change in scenery and the chance to play with Gibbs by putting together a bounce-back season with the Lions in 2026.
