Maxx Crosby's Agent Denies Latest Rumors on Ravens' Plans for New Contract Before Canceled Trade

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
This came after the Ravens shockingly backed out of the trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, instead signing defensive end Trey Hendrickson to a four-year contract worth $112 million on Wednesday.
Russini noted that a potential revised deal for Crosby would have made signing Hendrickson very difficult.
The Ravens seemed to be positioning themselves to add both players, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Baltimore's front office was already speaking with Hendrickson while the Crosby trade appeared to be occurring.
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta confirmed that the team was looking to pair the two pass-rushers together after center Tyler Linderbaum left in free agency.
"I didn't really look at him as like, 'Oh, we'll do this because of that,'" DeCosta said Wednesday, via Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. "It was really more, 'How do we get better as a football team?' In terms of Trey, I think we came to a point probably after we lost Tyler, where as we're trying to find the best way for us to get better as a football team, Trey kind of made a lot of sense as a possible guy to look it. So, we started some discussions with he and his agent, thinking that potentially we could have two pass rushers on the defensive line, on both sides of the line."
Crosby is currently playing on a three-year contract worth $106.5 million that he signed with the Raiders in March 2025.
He owns a $30 million base salary and will carry a $35.8 million cap hit for the 2026 season (via Spotrac). Crosby also has a base salary of $29 million to go along with a $29.8 million cap hit in 2027.
While he'll remain with the Raiders for now, the Ravens will hope that Hendrickson can provide a boost to a defense that ranked No. 29 in the NFL with 30 sacks last season.
