Patrick Mahomes Watches AJ Dybantsa, BYU in Photo at Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City

While much of the NFL world is focused on free agency, Patrick Mahomes is catching some basketball ahead of March Madness.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was in attendance during Wednesday's Big 12 tournament in Kansas City and took advantage of the opportunity to watch potential No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa lead BYU against West Virginia:

He wasn't the only member of the Chiefs to show up in the early stages of the Big 12 tournament, as head coach Andy Reid made an appearance Tuesday:

As for Mahomes, perhaps he is doing some scouting of the other teams with his alma mater, Texas Tech, waiting in the quarterfinals thanks to its double-bye that came with being the No. 4 seed.

The Red Raiders will face fifth-seeded Iowa State in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
