Travis Kelce, Jason Call Mom Donna to Discuss Viral Memes About Home Renovations, 'It's So Stupid'

Donna Kelce, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, set off a wave of viral memes following the news of her upcoming home renovation.

However, the matriarch of the Kelce Family doesn't get what the big deal is, as she told her sons during Wednesday's episode of the New Heights podcast (9:13 mark) that she's surprised by the buzz the news has generated.

"It's like, 'What the heck?!' Even TMZ sent me a text and said, 'Can you be on? This is really funny," Donna told Jason over the phone. "I'm like, 'It's so stupid.'"

Donna went on to explain that she's doing a simple window replacement for her home in Orlando.

"All I'm doing is, my people are coming to put in my windows on Monday. ... You know, my whole apartment is all windows," she said. "... You know I'm so logical, and it's like, I'm doing something so that I can save money on heating and air conditioning and to keep my windows from sweating. That's as simple as it is."

Donna wasn't the only Kelce making news this week, as Travis announced that he's returning to the Chiefs for a 14th season after briefly contemplating retirement. The 11-time Pro Bowler received words of encouragement from his mom before she ended the call.

"Tell Travis I'm so happy he's going back, I'm thrilled for another year," she said.
