NFL Fans Blast Ravens for Trey Hendrickson Contract After Backing Out of Maxx Crosby Trade
It didn't take the Baltimore Ravens long to get back in the market for a high-level pass-rusher, as they have reportedly agreed to a four-year, $112 million contract with Trey Hendrickson in free agency.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the news Wednesday, after the Las Vegas Raiders announced the Ravens backed out of the trade agreement for Maxx Crosby reportedly due to concerns over his physical.

The sequence of events drew suspicion and criticism from NFL insiders and fans given the timing:
When it was originally announced on Tuesday that the Ravens were backing out of their trade with the Raiders, one general manager told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero that this was "very much bulls--t" on Baltimore's end.
That seems to how most fans and analysts are reading the situation in the wake of Hendrickson landing with the Ravens, particularly given the silence from their organization since the news came out.
Given how far outside the box the Ravens' deal for Crosby was based on how they usually operate, it's not shocking they might have had some second thoughts with a few days to think about it before the league year officially opened and transactions can become official.
The trade for Crosby would have marked the first time in the Ravens' 31-year history they dealt even one first-round pick for a veteran player.
Even though Hendrickson is also coming off a down year that was plagued by injuries with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens only have to give him the money without sacrificing draft capital to bring him in.
It certainly raises a lot of questions about the Ravens that we will presumably get some answers on when general manager Eric DeCosta and head coach Jesse Minter will address during their next media availability.
