New Maxx Crosby Rumors as Raiders 'Listening' to Offers After Ravens Back Out of Trade for Star

Andrew PetersMar 10, 2026

The Las Vegas Raiders might not have much trouble moving on from Maxx Crosby after the Baltimore Ravens pulled out of last week's trade agreement.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, "several" teams have already reached out to the Raiders about Crosby's availability. According to Schefter, the plan for now is for Crosby to get healthy and play in Las Vegas, but the team is listening to offers.

The Raiders initially sent Crosby to the Ravens for a pair of first-round picks last week, but the team announced Tuesday that Baltimore had "backed out" of the agreement, sending Crosby back to Las Vegas.

Speaking to The Athletic's Michael Silver, one NFL executive said they can't imagine the Raiders getting two first-round picks if Crosby is dealt again.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that Crosby underwent a physical on Tuesday, and the "Baltimore made the decision as an organization that it could not move forward with the deal based on the results of the medical."

The 28-year-old Crosby ended the 2026 campaign on the injured reserve after suffering a torn meniscus.

At his best, Crosby is one of the best pass rushers in the league, but if he's not fully healthy, his expensive contract becomes hard to warrant, especially when the Ravens had to trade away two first-round picks to get him.

The question now is whether the Raiders are still looking to move on from Crosby or if they'll keep him around for another year. Considering the team has already spent $187 million in free agency, it might be difficult to get Crosby's contract back on the books.

One team has seemingly already emerged as a possible suitor for Crosby. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero noted that the Dallas Cowboys were interested in Crosby before the trade to the Ravens, and they could want back in trade talks.

"The other team that was in [Crosby trade talks], at the end, was the Cowboys," Pelissero said. "I am told the Cowboys would still be interested in a Crosby trade."

The Cowboys could certainly use an elite edge rusher after a dreadful year on defense. Whether they'll have the right offer remains to be seen.
