New Cowboys Rumors on Maxx Crosby Trade After Ravens Call Off Blockbuster Deal
The Maxx Crosby trade agreement between the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens stunningly fell apart on Monday, a move that could have ripple effects for multiple teams this offseason.
And one team to monitor now that Crosby is back on the market is the Dallas Cowboys.

Re-Drafting the Last 5 Rookie Classes 🤯
"The other team that was in [Crosby trade talks], at the end, was the Cowboys," NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday. "I am told the Cowboys would still be interested in a Crosby trade."
But there are conflicting reports in that regard:
There are certainly a lot of moving pieces to consider here.
The first is whether the Raiders are going to be able to fetch anywhere close to the same price as the two first-round picks they initially received from the Ravens now that news of his failed physical has made the rounds.
Different teams will have different levels of risk tolerance when it comes to injured players. Where exactly the Cowboys fall on that scale could determine whether they might be interested in reengaging with the Raiders on trade talks.
There is also the reality that the Cowboys have made other moves since believing they fell short in the Crosby sweepstakes, including a trade agreement with the Green Bay Packers to acquire Rashan Gary.
Team owner Jerry Jones has waxed poetic about being a "handshake agreement" sort of guy in the past—would he contradict that and back out of a Gary deal if he thought he could land Crosby instead?
The Cowboys could simply pair Crosby with Gary, of course. Much will probably depend on their own comfort with Crosby's recovery from offseason meniscus surgery and whether the Raiders have changed their asking price. It still seems likely that the Raiders will try to move on from Crosby at this point, but it's hard to imagine two first-round picks are coming their way.
Even after the Gary addition, the Cowboys still need to upgrade off the edge, whether in free agency, the draft or by trade. At the very least, they will certainly hold fresh discussions on whether a Crosby trade is the right path forward.
