The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $15 million with cornerback Riq Woolen on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Philadelphia was initially targeting cornerback Alontae Taylor in free agency before shifting its focus after Taylor reportedly signed with the Tennessee Titans, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
As for Woolen, he immediately made his presence felt for the Seahawks after they selected him with a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft.
He earned a Pro Bowl nod during his inaugural season and finished No. 3 in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.
Woolen remained a key starter for Seattle over the next two years, but dealt with some inconsistency and wasn't able to build upon his stellar rookie campaign.
His playing time decreased in 2025, as he only started in seven of his 16 appearances and was on the field for a career-low 78 percent of the Seahawks' defensive snaps (via Pro Football Reference).
Woolen still racked up 41 tackles, 12 passes defended, one interception and one tackle for loss during the regular season. He also ranked No. 1 among all outside cornerbacks by allowing 0.5 yards per coverage snap in man coverage, per Next Gen Stats.
The 26-year-old recorded four passes defended in three playoff games during Seattle's run to a Super Bowl title as well.
Now, Woolen will join Quinyon Mitchell on the boundary for the Eagles.
