Livvy Dunne Posts Paul Skenes, Bobby Witt Jr. Meme After Trending WBC Reaction Video

Livvy Dunne shared an amusing photoshop of the famous distracted boyfriend meme after Paul Skenes shared a look with Bobby Witt Jr. during Team USA's 5-3 win over Mexico in the World Baseball Classic on Monday night.

Dunne posted the meme with Skenes holding her hand but turning to look at Witt.

The meme came after Skenes gave Witt a look after the Kansas City Royals star made a diving stop to throw out Alejandro Kirk at first base in the top of the fourth inning.

Making his first start of the WBC, Skenes looked like he was in midseason form. The reigning NL Cy Young winner struck out seven and allowed one hit in four innings.

On top of that, the U.S. lineup gave him five runs of support in the third inning thanks to homers from Aaron Judge and Roman Anthony. The Pirates scored five or more runs in just 21 of his 55 career starts over the past two seasons.

When you start breaking down the numbers like that, it's no wonder that Skenes showed more emotion on Monday night than he did when he was surrounded by Dunne and his family when he won NL Rookie of the Year in 2024.
