Aaron Judge Stunned by Bobby Witt Jr.'s Amazing Plays on Video from USA's Win vs. Mexico in WBC

Even though most of the focus for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic is on the strength of the lineup, it was the defensive display by Bobby Witt Jr. at shortstop during Monday's win over Mexico that stood out.

The Kansas City Royals star made two incredible diving stops in back-to-back innings in the fourth and fifth innings.

The glove work earned high praise from Aaron Judge, who was heard on the Fox telecast saying "Are you kidding me?" to Witt when the U.S. team made its way back to the dugout.

"There's only maybe one or two individuals in the game that can do that," Judge told reporters after the game about Witt. "And he's one of 'em."

If there was an award for best defensive player of the WBC, Witt would certainly be in the mix. His main competition would be Manny Machado, who made spectacular plays against back-to-back hitters in the eighth inning of the Dominican Republic's win over Nicaragua on March 6.

Witt's plays helped preserve America's 5-0 lead at that point, but Mexico did battle back with three runs to cut the deficit to 5-3. Mexico got the tying run to the plate in the ninth inning with no outs before Garrett Whitlock retired three straight to seal the win.

After Judge and Shohei Ohtani, there's a real argument that Witt is the third-best player in MLB right now. He has finished top four in AL MVP voting in each of the past two years, along with winning Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards.
