Michael Pittman Jr. Reveals Wife's Past Dream About Steelers After Trade from Colts

Michael Pittman Jr.'s wife was apparently picturing him in black and gold long before his trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver wrote on social media that his wife, Kianna Pittman, dreamed about him wearing a Steelers jersey a month prior to Monday's trade.

"God works in crazy ways!" Pittman wrote.

The Colts reportedly traded Pittman to the Steelers shortly after re-signing wideout Alec Pierce to a four-year, $116 million contract.

The move cost a swap of late-round picks and freed up $24 million in cap space for the Colts, per ESPN.

The Steelers then signed Pittman, who had previously been set to play the 2026 season on an expiring contract, to a three-year, $59 million deal, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

That contract is projected to make Pittman one of the highest-paid players in Pittsburgh. His estimated $24 million 2026 cap hit that ranks third only behind TJ Watt ($42 million cap hit) and DK Metcalf (31 million) for the largest on the Steelers' roster, per Spotrac.

Pittman spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Colts, including two 1,000-receiving yard seasons in 2021 and 2023.

He led the Colts with 80 catches last season, although it was Pierce who led the team with 1,003 receiving yards on just 47 receptions before earning his historic contract.

The Steelers will now be able to pair Pittman with Metcalf as top targets for whichever quarterback starts next season in Pittsburgh.

Both Steelers coach Mike McCarthy and general manager Omar Khan had expressed interest in bringing back veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, although Rodgers has yet to commit to returning for a 22nd NFL season in 2026.

The only quarterbacks currently on the Steelers' roster are Mason Rudolph and Will Howard. If Rodgers does not ultimately return to Pittsburgh, the Steelers could decide to turn to free agency, the trade market or the 2026 NFL draft in order to capitalize on their new wide receiver duo next fall.
