Breece Hall Jokes About Jets' Contracts in 2026 NFL Free Agency After Getting Franchise Tag
New York Jets star running back Breece Hall is eager to join in on the team's spending spree in free agency.
Amid a slew of deals handed out by the Jets on Monday, Hall took to social media and joked, "We sure got a lot of money in Florham Park all these contracts dudes signing." The 24-year-old received the franchise tag last week and is in negotiations for a long-term deal.

While it's not clear how negotiations between Hall and the Jets are progressing, he doesn't have much to complain about. If a long-term deal isn't reached by the July 15 deadline, he will play out the 2026 season on a guaranteed $14.3 million salary from the franchise tag, which would make him the fourth-highest-paid running back in the league.
The Jets have made it clear that their focus is on the defensive side of the ball for now. New York made a splash by acquiring five-time Pro Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins and signing him to a new three-year, $40 million contract.
The Jets also welcomed back veteran linebacker Demario Davis on a two-year, $22 million deal, marking his third tenure with the team. New York also added some much-needed depth to its pass-rush by signing defensive end Joseph Ossai to a three-year, $36 million contract that includes $22.5 million guaranteed and defensive end Kingsley Enagbare to a one-year, $10 million deal.
Still, the Jets should prioritize their long-term contract for Hall, as they will need as many playmakers as they can get as they try to end their perpetual rebuild under head coach Aaron Glenn.
